steps

In creativity, the quantity of ideas is more important than the quality
(contrary to common knowledge).
The fear of putting out bad ideas is
the principal jam you'll encounter.

You can't allow yourself to be open to new ideas while blocking the ones that seem

too clichéd. The sooner you get these ideas out of your head, the sooner new ones

will take their place.

The discipline related to time management is crucial in the creative process used
by graphic designers, 'cause usually you don't have a lot of time to actually create.

Your time must be divided in three steps

• • • 1/4 of the suggested time
- define the problem
- gather the necessary information

• • • 1/2 of the suggested time
- graphic research. Put out every idea possible without judging your work within a
determined time period.

• • • 1/4 of the suggested time
- incubation (grap a cup of joe, take some time off of the project).
- evaluate the most interesting ideas and choices.

concentrate on your positive attitudes
• be open minded and positive towards your project
• do not criticize your work within the beginning stages
• make it fun
• flexibility, seize the spur of the moment ideas

beware the neagative attitudes
• doubt
• criticism
• control
• pressure
• anxiety
